Wheat.—lS'o buyers. Holders are keeping offerings till times are more brisk. Prices easy. No. 1,1 dol 45 cents to 1 dol 41h cents; extra choice, for milling, 1 dol 50 cents to 1 dol 52& per cental. Barley.—Brewing and Chevalier both in demand for shipment. Brewing, 92i to cents ; standard Chevalier, 1 dol 45 cents tc 1 dol 50 cents per cental. Hops.—New crop, 15 to 20 cents ; old crop, 6tc 8 cents. Coal.—Australian, per ton, 14 dols. Broom Corn.—4o dols to 75 dols per tooj according to quality (wharf prices). Tin.—Sydney, '24A cents per lb. Lumber.—Pine, rough merchantable to 40 feet, 20 dols per m; spruce, rough, 21 dols per m ; redwood, rough merchantable, '20 dols per m. Quicksilver.—4s dols per flask. Fish.—Columbia River salmon, 1 dol 70 cents to 1 dol 75 cents ; Sacramento, 1 dol tt) cents; Alaska, 1 dol 55 cents to 1 dol 60 cents. Freights.—Wheat to Cork, 30s; lumber, from Puget Sound to Hobson's Bay, 50s; " to Melbourne, 555. Both the Majestic and Bonheur are chartered at these rates.
