EXHIBITION AWARDS.
NEW ZEALAND ALES.
SUCCESSFUL AUCKLAND BREWERS. [press association.] Melbourne, October 15. The following further awards have been made at the Exhibition ;—Running ales : Ist, Brown, Campbell, and Co., Auckland ; 2nd, Manning, Christchurch, and Martin, Invercargill ; 4th, Handle, Hokitiktt. Special mention list : Brown and Campbell, Ist. Malt and bitter ales : Ist, Macgavin, Macgregor, and Smith, Dunedin; 2nd, Manning, Christchurch ; 3rd, Egan Kaiapoij 4th, Vincent, Christchurch. Special mention list: 2nd, Macgavin, Macgregor, and Smith, strong ales ; Macgavin and Co., 3rd; Manning, Christchurch, and Joel, Dunedin. Stout: None. A protest was lodged by Speight, but was dismissed, everything being in accordance with the conditions. The jurors' report says none of the exhibits can be called stout, being only a light porter.
