[press association.] A DISHONEST BANK TELLER. Sydney, October 8. Druce, the teller of the English, Scottish, and Australian Chartered Bank, has disappeared. His defalcations, so far as known at present, amount to £4000. FATAL YACHT ACCIDENTS. Sydney, October 8. Two yachts were capsized in the harbour to-day, and one of the occupants, a youth named Osborne, was drowned, and the other four are missing. No further particulars of the accident have been received. Melbourne, October 9. Through the capsizing of a yacht on Lake Victoria a man named Jones and Mrs. Wilson and her son were drowned. Sydney, October a The passengers by the steamer Wakatipu have presented Captain Wheeler with a testimonial in recognition of the mariner in handled the ship during a storm encountered on the trip from Wellington.
