SAVAGE ISLAND.
GERMANY AND THE ENGLISH PROTECTORATE. [press association.] Berlin, October 7. The Nord Deutsche Zeitung urges that the British Government is not in a position to assume a protectorate over Savage Island, which must remain neutral territory by virtue of an agreement come to in April, 1886.
