THE OTAGO DOCK TRUST.

At a meeting of the Dock Trust at Dunedin oa Thursday, the 4th of October, a letter was read from Mr. Elder, enclosing one from Messrs. Mce, Billings, and Co., London, to the effect that having taken counsel's opinion re the Hon. R. Campbell's letter to the Standard about the loan, they were advised that they had good grounds for a libel action. Mr. Eider also stated that lie would probably bring an action himself. The Trust decided not to bring an action, but resolved to place all information and give every assistance to Messrs. Mee, Billings, and Co. in their action.

There are no doubt many old residents in Auckland who have very kindly recollections of Mr. Wynn, or Wynn-Williams, well known eighteen or twenty years ago as one of the ablest lawyers at the Auckland bar. These will bo interested in knowing that on Sept. 13 at Trinity Church, North Shore, his eldest son, Mr. Harry WynnWilliams, now of the Permanent Artillery, was united in marriage with Miss Florence Aubrey, of Whangarei Heads, daughter of Mr. Harcourt Aubrey, formerly llesident Magistrate of the district. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Bates, Mr. Mostyn Wynn-Williams, younger brother of the bridegroom, now a midshipman on the Derwent, and Mr. Carney, of the Permanent Artillery, being btvst men, and Miss Mays being bridesmaid on the occasion.
