INCREASE OF WOOL DUTIES.

The tariff scheme put forward as a plank of the Republican platform slightly increases the duty on wool and woollen goods, and repeals the tobacco tax entirely. The duties on sugar and rice are reduced one-half. LaterThe tariff scheme of the Republican party raises the duty on fine wools from 12 to 13 cents per lb. n
