Meads, from the South. Passengers: — Miss Govett, Mrs. Wood, Messrs. Seth Smith, IT. B. Smith, Large, Thompson, Blackwood, Hallenstein, Mackay, and 7 steerage.—Union S.S. Co., agents.
DEPARTURES. Gairloch, s.s., McArthur, for Waitara. Passengers:—Mrs. Watts and family (4), Messrs. Johnson, Dempsy. McVinney, Bell, Watts, and 7 steerage.—A. Barnes, agent.
IMPORTS. Per s.s. Gairloch : 240 sheep, S cases goods, 2 kess and 4 cases butter. Per s.s. Wanaka: 60 casks, '2SO sacks potatoes, 974 sacks wheat, 26 hides, and 20 packages.
EXPORTS. Per s.s. Gairloch : 4 trunks and 5 cases boots, 1 plough, 6 chests and 13 boxes tea, 19 boxes candies, S cases fruit, 60 bags flour, 20 bags salt, 17 cases drapery, 5 cases jams, 7 cases drugs. 6 cases currants, 1 cask vinegar, 4 casks crockery, 3 sacks seed, and 56 sundry packages.
The Northern Co.'s s.s. Gairloch, from New Plymouth, arrived yesterday morning. She left again at one o'clock for Waitara, with cargo and passengers as above. The Union Co.'s s.s. Wanaka, Captain J. Meads, from Lyttelton via Wellington and Taranaki. arrived at daylight yesterday morning, with a cargo of grain and produce and passengers.
