DUNKDIX OATS. September 19.—Nearly all the agents' lines are disposed of. and the bulk of the stock at present in store is now in the hands oi one or two speculators, who are not disposed to quit at late quotations. Meanwhile prices ruling in Melbourne and Sydney have not responded, and with several heavy shipment* arriving at Melbourne almost simultaneously, the market there is more likely to recede than otherwise. But stocks here and at tho Bluff, also the quantity still left in farmers' hands, are very much lighter than in the corresponding season last year. It would not be surprising later on to rind a considerable improvement in values. At present a moderate demand exists at the following quotations :—For prime milling, full and bright, 2s 2d to is 3d ; heavy sparrow-bill, bright, 2s id to 2s 3d; medium to good, 2s Id to £s Sd ; inferior to medium, Is Sd to 2s (ex store, sacks weighed in).

Messrs. Freeman R. Jackson <fc Co. s Report (by telegraph on Wednesday):—The beef entered for the day's sale was generally of good quality. The bidding was brisk for all descriptions of stock. Sheep advanced upon last week's rates; and pigs, of which there was a very Urge supply, sold at full value vrith keen competition. Beef made from 15s to 16s the 1001b; ana mutton, 2Jd to 3d per lb. Cattle: .Best bullocks made from £6 5s to £7 15s, one line of 23 hewitl averaging £7, aad other lota averaged £o 5s acd £6 -2s Id. sheep : Wethers, 159 6d to 17s ; lambs, &s i<l to 10s : Pigs : Baconers, £2 103 to £2 18s ; others, £1 17s to £2 Is ; porkers, 17s to 26s ; stores, 7s 6d k> 15s 6d ; small pigs, 48 t,o 6s.

Messrs. Goldsbbovgh and Co. report, on the sth instant, that the prices of fat cattle have improved about 20s per head, best beef Ih?Lus worth about 25s per 1001b. The opening sales for fat sheep were tirm, vdthout improvement, bnt on Monday prices advanced about Is per head. 501 b wethers being worth 10s 6<l. Milling wheat is still in good demand, and second qualities are also sought after. Oats have shown an improvement, partly in consequence of a demand on Melbourne account. Maize is advancing steadily. Bran has had a grent rise, and pollard continues in good demand. " We quote :—Milling wheat, 4s to 4s 3d; medium, 3s 6d to 3s Sd ; chickfeed, 2s Sd to 2s lid.
