[PRESS ASSOCIATION. London, September 16. The Times has entered an appearance in the action brought against the paper by Mr. Parnel] in Scotland. Sir Charles Russell, who is acting for the Irish members before the Commission, has made an application for a sub-commission co visit America and examine witnesses in connection with the Times' charges. Sir Charles has also applied for an inspection of the letters alleged to have been written by Mr. Parnell. Counsel for the Times have applied for an order to, examine the books and papers in possession of the Land and National Leagues.
