MAHAKIPAWA GOLDFIELD.
A RICH FIND. GREAT RUSH AND EXCITEMENT. Blenheim, September 7. News from tho Mahakipawa to-day i 3 rather exciting. The Havelock correspondent of the Times says that gold has been discovered at Rocky Creek, Fern Flab, Kaituna ; also at Wheadon's Valley, Mahakipawa. The Picton correspondent ot the same journal, wiring at eight o'clock to-night, says: "The mail boat has just arrived, bringing news from Mahakipawa. J. Fuller, from the goldfields to-day, reports that a very rich reef has been found by Annear and Hill at the top of the right hand branch. Lumps of gold are visible. A great rush and excitement has been caused, and a large number of claims have been pegged out.
