THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS.

[press association.] London, September 7. TnE match between the Australian eleven and Lord Londesborough's team was resumed to-day. Rain fell over nig'ht and made the wickets heavy. The Australians, •who on the previous day bad lost one wicket for 53 runs, continued their innings, but the wickets fell fast, and when the in nings closed the total had only reached 96. The last six wickets of the visitors fell foi 6.runs. The highest scorers were : —Trott, 25 ; Bannerman, 26 ; Bonner, 21. Briggs was the most destructive bowler, disposing* of six of the Australian wickets for IS runs. Lord Londesborouyli's eleven had lost nine wickets for 1,35 when play stoppod for the day. The principal scorers were :—Grace 35 ; Lohmann and Gunn, 21 each.
