ATTACK ON MISSION STATIONS.
DESPERATE FIGHTING.
SEVERAL EUROPEANS KILLED.

London, September 7. Information has been received ( that the missionaries engaged in work in the neighbourhood of Lake Nyassa, Eastern Africa, were recently harassed by Arab slavers and driven from their posts. The forces attached to the missionary camps, under the command of Captain Longard, attacked the slavers, but were repulsed, and several Europeans and a number of native allies were killed. Captain Longard was himself wounded during the engagement.
