A most enjoyable dance was given on Fridav, the 24th August, by Mr. and Miss Lily Bowman. Quite a number of young people were assembled, and right merrily they went in for a long night's amusement. Mr. Bowman, who was ably assisted by his fair sister, did all in their power to make their guests feel that they were enjoying themselves. Dancing was kept up with great spirit until daybreak, and the visitors appeared loth to leave the hospitable house of their kind friends. It would be invidious on my part to say who was the " belle" of the evening, where all looked so charming, but the honour may fairly be divided between Miss Lily Bowman and Miss Maggie Bergham.
