RAILWAY DISASTER IN FRANCE.
TWELVE PERSONS KILLED. [press association.] Paris, September 5. A SHOCKING railway accident has occured in the east of France. The Paris express ran off the rails near Dijon, and before intimation could be conveyed of the mishap the Italian express dashed into it. Both engines were hurled over the viaduct, while twelve passengers were killed and forty injured.
Paris, September 6. Lady Bowen was a passenger by the express train in the Dijon railway accident, and was slightly injured. Her daughter, Miss Agnes Zoe Bowen, was also a passenger, but escaped unhurt.
