[own correspondent.] Russell, Thursday. Alexander Moffat, who died on board the Tarawera, was buried to-day. [press association.] Dunedin, Thursday. Tor having a tui unlawfully in his possession a boy, who killed it with a shanghai, was fined five shillings and costs. The Canterbury football team arrived to-night, and were met by a large number of players, who escorted them to their i jtel. At the inquest on Matthew Buckley, an elderly man found dead in his bed, a verdict of death from natural causes was returned, bub the jury commented on the negligence and thoughtlessness of the wife of the deceased in not procuring medical attendance. The deceased had refused food which had been given him, and behaved strangely.
