Prison Brigade Home, Upper Qixeenstrkkt, August 30.—We have to thank the following persons for food, money, and clothing towards the support of this home : —Meat, Messrs. Hellaby, Hume, liaddeley, Garrett, and Wood and Co. ; bread, Mrs. Howie, Messrs. Phillips, Parsons, Brown, Buchanan, Crowe, Teasdale, Robinson, and a friend ; Sir Win. Fox, Jtl; "A Friend," 7s 6d; vegetables from a friend milk and butter, Devonshire and London Dairies. There are from 150 to 200 meals given each week ; about 50 beds; several families are also assisted; children, women, and men fed and clothed ; yet many still want our assistance, and we are very short at present of tea, sugar, potatoes, and we could do with a little more meat and bread.—R.
