THE MINERS' STRIKE.
[press association.] Sydney, September 1. The miners' funds only amount to £5000, which is about sufficient only to pay 12s per head. Adelaide, September 1. The Gas Company has sent to England for coal, and has increased the price of gas. Greymouth, Sunday. The coal miners at Brunnerton, suspecting that the Union Cotrpany's Pukaki is coming here to load coal for Melbourne, are resolved, if that is so, to refuse to load her. They are much interested in the Newcastle strike, but ib is generally believed they will not refuse to load other than Australian boats.
