[press association.] London, August 28. In the match against the Past and Present of Oxford and Cambridge Universities, the Australian Eleven in their first innings made 298. The highest scorers were Bannerman 76, and Turner 60. At the close of the day's play the Universities had lost five wickets for 54 runs. Turner took three wickets for 14, and Ferris one for 38.
