We sold a long catalogue for a Nelson nurseryman last Saturday, prices being very low. Reports from every direction are all alike with regard to the abundance of grass, and all stock have been well wintered. Evidences of spring are appearing in the shape of fresh green pasture ; trees bursting into bud in all directions ; crops are also looking strong ; and the season so far has been most favourable to farming operations, and we expect the area under cultivation in the Wairarapa this season will be some thousands of acres in excess of last season's, and with a favourable harvest, and the increased price of farm stock and produce, the fanners should have a very prosperous year.
