ARRIVAL IN GERMANY. PETITION FROM MAORI CHIEFS. [press association.] Hamburg, August 28. Malietoa, the exiled King of Samoa, h?<= arrived at lias city. [BY TELEGRAPH.SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.] Wellington, Wednesday. A number of Maori chiefs now in ellington are preparing an address to the German Government praying that Maliefcoa, the ex-King of Samoa, may be treated with kindness and consideration. Sir George Grey informs me that there is a strong affection subsisting between the Maoris and the Samoans on account of their common origin and the similarity of their language. Malietoa is also to be presented with an address expressive of sympathy.
