DESTITUTION IN DUNEDIN.

At a meeting of the West Harbour Council to-night, it was stated that a good deal of destitution prevailed among the unemployed, and it was decided to wait on Mr. J. Mills, M.H.R., to get him to induce the Government to place a sum on the Supplementary Estimates to provide work in repairing roads.
