RUSSELL. August 27. —Arrived : Norval, Rose, and Janet. GISBORNE. August 27. — Arrived : Schooner Waiapu, from Auckland. The schooner Gisborne, which since August 2nd has met with adverses in attempting to reach Auckland, via coast ports, is lying weather-bound in Hick's Bay, with the schooner Dunedin. PORT CHALMERS August 27. —Arrived : Barque Cingalese, from London; barque Star of East, from New York. Sailed : S.s. Takapuna, for the North. Passengers : Messrs. Freak, Gordon, Davies, and eight steerage.
