Educational. AUCKLAND COLLEGE* AND GRAMMAR SCHOOL. The Board of Governors have made arrangements to admit Girls to the benefits of the College and Grammar School, and will carry on the work of the Girls' High School at the building in Symondsstreet. The Headmaster. Mr. Bourne, will have charge of the whole school, and the Girls will be taught under his direction, but they will occupy a separate portion of the building, and will have the use of a separate entrance and play-ground. The Governors have arranged to retain the services of the Lady Assistants now employed at the Girls' High School. Free tuition and scholarships will be continued under existing rules to all girls now entitled to them. New Pupils must apply to the Headmaster, at the School, Symonds-street, on FRIDAY, the 14th September, at 9.30 a.m. to 11, or at 2.30 to 4 p.m., and they will attend for Entrance Examination on MONDAY, the 17th September, at 10 a.m. Girls who have hitherto attended the Girls' High School are not required to attend the Entrance Examination.
