In the match of ■ the Australian Eleven against Gloucester at Cheltenham the Australians' last wicket fell for a total of 118, Jar vis being the highest scorer with 29. Kain interfered with the progress of the match during the day. Gloucester next went to the wickets, and when the day's play closed had only lost one wicket for 12(5 runs ; W. G. Grace, not out, with 66 to his credit. Later. In the cricket match against the Australians, the eleven of Gloucestershire in their first innings made 209. Grace, with 02, was the highest scorer. Ferris took six wickets for 93. Rain fell during the day, and the wicket was very slow.
