THE NEW SHERIFF OF AUCKLAND.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. Ma.tor Cascoigne has received the appointment of Sheriff to the Auckland Provincial District, the vacancy having been caused by the resignation of Mr. Baddeley. Major Gascoigne leaves for the northern city tomorrow, and will commence his new duties on the Ist September.
