RUAPEIIU AND TONGARIRO.
We give below a woodcut showing Ruapehu and the smoking summit of Ngauruhoe. It is taken from a sketch by Mrs. J. M. Clark, exhibited at the Auckland Institute on the occasion of Professor Thomas' lecture. The point of view is a very excellent one, and the accessories in the foreground are exceedingly picturesque.
