Melbourne, August 6. The Conference of Judges has postponed the question of a Federal Court of Appeal, pending inquiries into the working of the Appellate Court of Canada. THE SHIPPING DIFFICULTY. Sydney. August 6. There is little hope of settling the shipping difficulty. The owners have merely acknowledged the receipt of the last letter from the Union, regretting the position taken up by the latter. VICTORIA AND THE PARIS EXHIBITION. Melbourne, August 6. Mr. Gillies has decided not to appoint a commission for the Paris Exhition until Parliament passes the necessary vote of £10,000.
