Bishop Moore, of Ballarat, has arranged to establish an Order of the Sisters of Nazareth, and also an Order of the Fathers of the Congregation of the Holy Ghost. THE CROFTERS. London, August 3. Mr. W. A. Hunter states that he is unable to entertain the Crofter emigration scheme of Miss Jessie Campbell llrown, and other Sydney ladies, until he is in receipt of full details. The Wdipu Mutual Improvement Association has just completed its first annual session, and a meeting was held on the 16th July for the purpose of electing officers to carry on the affairs of the association for another year. The young men of this district should take a more active interest in this society than they have hitherto evinced, as it affords them the means of exchanging and improving tHeir opinions on various subjects of public interest, as well as giving them an opportunity of acquiring confidence and cultivating fluency in public speaking. The following gentlemen are on the committee for the forthcoming session, whose names are a sufficient guarantee that the affairs of the society will be conducted in a creditable manner : —President, Rev. G. Jones; vicepresident, Mr. J. Brook; secretary, Mr. M. McLennan; and Messrs. J. McKcnzie and J. McKay.
