DISCOVERY OF FOSSIL REMAINS, Sydney, July 26. _ A discovery of fossil bones, which is of great value to science, has just been made at Myall Creek. There are .about four tons of remains of extinct animals of gigantic size, belonging to the pleiocene period, which is the geological epoch just preceding the appearance of man upon the earth.
ALLEGED CHILD-MURDER. Sydney, July 26. Thomas Hardy has been arrested a), Ivanhoe on the charge of murdering ai infant by smothering it.
THE FATAL BOILER EXPLOSIONS Adelaide, July 26. The man Hemmerhing, who was in~ jured by the boiler explosion on board the steamer Greenock, has died from his injuries. Another man named Treages. who was also seriously insured by tin explosion, is reported to be in a critical condition.
THE MELBOURNE EXHIBITION
