At the Police Court, this morning, a man named Patrick Fennell was committed to gaol for one month, with hard labour, for stealing a bottle of brandy from the Hauraki Hotel, Kirikiri, yesterday. At a special sitting of the Court, this afternoon, before Dr. Ivilgour, and H. C. Lawlor, J.P.'s, Elizabeth Green was charged with bting of unsound mind and unfit to be at large, and after the evidence of Drs. Payne, Callan, and Williams was taken, accused was formally committed to Avondalo Asylum, Auckland. She was forwarded to Auckland, per Enterprise, this evening.
