London, July 11. In the House of Commons Sir John Gorst denied there had been undue delay on the part of the Imperial Government in replying to the telegram from Sir Henry Parkes in March last on the Chinese question. On the other hand he thought Lord Knutsford had displayed great promptitude in dealing with the question.
