MURDERS BY NATIVES.
AN EXPLORING PARTY
ABANDONED.
[press association.] , »y, Brisbane, July 16. News has been received from New Guinea to the effect that two men belonging to an exploring party have been murdered by natives.
Count Pfeill and Herr Rocholl, who were engaged in exploration in New Ireland, were deserted by their followers, who carried off their instruments and provisions. The leaders of the party lived on copra for some time, and were not rescued until they had gone through great hardships.
