The following is the state of Her Majesty's prison, Auckland, for the week ending June 30th, 1888 —On remand, 4 males ; awaiting trial, 3 males ; boys, 4; penal servitude, 43 males, 3 females ; hard labour, 111 males, 25 females ; imprisonment, 1 male ; default of bail, 13 males, 1 female ; debtors, 1 male; received during the week, 22 males, 3 females ; discharged, 27 males, 2 females ; total in prison : 180 males, 29 females.
