APPLICATIONS FOR PATENTS.

The following Auckland patents ht-.ve been applied for during the week : Albert Berger, of Auckland, watchmaker, for putting out the flame, of candles, to be called " Berger's Automt 1c Candle Extinguisher John Young, of Auckland, mining agent, for Young's process of extracting metals from their ores; Samuel James Leith, of Te Kopuru, Auckland, for a bag and tube for the economical sowing of artificial or other suitable manure; Henry Waite, of Auckland, tinsmith, for Waite'a patent fire lighters.
