Mrs. F. Colbeck, whose decease I have already intimated, was the daughter of the late Captain McDonald, of Jamaica, West Indies. She came to this colony and was united in marriage to Mr. Colbeck only six months ago,—yet during that time she had endeared herself to all who knew her. At the —though the weather was very wintry—a large number of persons from th.e district round gathered together, thus evijicing their sympathy with and respect for the bereaved husband and family. The principal mourners were Mr. F. Colbeck, Captain Colbeck, and Mr. A. Colbeck. The mortal remains of the deceased lady were consigned to their last resting-place in the cemetery attached to St. Mark's Church, Paparoa, by the Rev. C. A. Tobin.— Correpon. derate
