LEGALISED GAMBLING.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —FRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Monday. At a meeting called by circular to-day, ifc was resolved: —"This meeting, deploring the fact that gambling prevails bo a most disastrous extent, and believing that tho evil is fostered by the totalisator, ib is roeolvod to take steps to secure the repeal of those sections of the Gaming and Lobberiee Act, which mako gambling a legal transaction." A committee was appointed to take the necessary steps, and draw up a petition to the legislature.
