COLONIAL SECURITIES.
London, June 14. it has been suggested that the Court of Chancery should adopt a list of inscribed colonial stocks, not exceeding 4 per cent., in which trustees may invest.
ELECTION OF A GLADSTONITE.
London, June 16. Captain John Sinclair, a supporter of Mr. Gladstone, has been returned for Ayr, in place of Mr. R. F. Campbell, who had resigned. Mr. Evelyn Ashley was the defeated candidate.
BANK DIVIDEND.
London, June 16. The dividend of the new Oriental Bank is 6 per cent. The net profits were £50,000.
CONVERSION OF CONSOLS. London, June 14. £47,000,000 worth of consols remain unconverted.
FRANCE AND AMERICA.
Paris, June 15. The Chamber of Deputies have resolved _to adopt arbitration in connection with the disputes between France and America.
