The force of the wind sjilit the lower topsail and jib, and carried away the bobstay, and lie had to put the ship under easy sail for twenty-four hours to secure foremast and bowsprit, and repair other damages. On the Bth the wind moderated, and next day shifted to east, in latitude 29deg. -ISimn.. longitude lfrldcg. 26min.
