LARRIKINISM AT CHRISTCHURCH.

[by telegraph.—press association.] Christchurch, Monday. There has been a good deal of rowdyism in tho streets on Saturday nights lately. Last Saturday the police, while arresting a man for being drunk and disorderly, were attacked by several larrikins, and had much trouble in keeping their mart. At the R.M. Court bo-day he was sentenced to two months' hard labour, and ordered to pay £4 fines and damages. Another rowdy was fined 40s for drunkenness, and sent to gaol for a month.
