A BABY BURNED TO DEATH.
[by telegraph.—press association.] Invercarolll, Monday. A CHILD two years old, son of Captain McLean, of the schooner Creslof, was severely burned on Saturday night, and died yesterday. It appears that his mother had sent him into the sitting-room while the other children were being washed. He was soon after heard to cry out. His clothes was seen to be in a blaze. Prompt attention was given, but severe wounds had by this time been inflicted. The only explanation is that the child accidentally ignited his clothes at the fireplace.
