A HOME FOR THE DESTITUTE.
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchurch, Thursday. A home for destitute men has been opened here by Mr. T. Herrick, the object being to provide bed and breakfast for men who otherwise would have to sleep in the Park or under hedges. Several instances of this have occurred lately. A meeting was held to-night, under the presidency of the Mayor, for the purpose of obtaining subscribers to the home.
