A.R.C. WINTER MEETING.
Some good work was got through at Ellerslie yesterday morning by the various horses engaged at the forthcoming A.R.C. Meeting. Allegro, Erebus, Peter Osbeck, GuyFawkes, and Orangeman pleasing the touts most. Silvio was an absentee ; while Macaroni, who is a bit 3ore, was limited to walking exercise.
Several Wanganui and Taranaki sportsmen arrived yesterday by the s.s. Wanaka for the purpose of attending the A.R.C. Winter Meeting at Ellerslie to-morrow. The hurdle-racer Armourer was also brought up by the same steamer.
