FOOTBALL.
The Selection Committee of the Auckland Rugby Union held a meeting yesterday, and selected 20 local players, from amongst whom the team to represent Auckland against Wavbrick's Native Fifteen, is to be. finally chosen. As the match has been fixed for Saturday, 7tli July, the players will need go into training at once, and the first practice match will be held on the Metropolitan Ground on Wednesday afternoon next. The names of those chosen are:—R. B. Lusk, E. McCausland, T. Brown, H. Stephenson, J. Ryan, W. Elliott, J. Conway, A. McKeown, Herrold, A. Braund, T. O'Connor, P. Gould, 0. Wells, F.
