SALE OF DISEASED MEAT.
[BY telegraph.— press association.] Dunedin, Wednesday. The Times asserts that the statements in the recent petition to the City Council about the cancerous meat being sold in the city are borne out. A glaring case happened at the saleyards last week, the carcase being sent to Gore, but nothing can be done by the police. The reporters have ascertained that numerous sales of diseased meat for sausages have taken place lately.
