Mr. ALFRED BUCKLA.tD'S Weekly Report.— At the Haymarkei, daring the past week, oaten sheaves have brought Is Cd to Is Sd; meadow hay. Is M to 2s 3d the cwt; chafi, 26s to 45« the ton ; sew oats, Is lid ; maize, 3a ; wheat, 3s; rye grans, 3s to 3a M ; cocksfoot, ft*; hard fescue, los the bushel. On Friday. April 13. a larger number of horses than usual were yarded; useful unbroken medium draught ranged from ££ to £9; good workers, from £6 Mb to £13; inferior, at nominal prices; a photon, £21. At the bide and skin sale, on Tuesday, both hides and skins were yarded in fall number ; late values were sustained ; ox hides brought up to 4|d ; cow hides, ZM ; calf skins, »id the 110, or about 2T/S each for ox h:de«, lis for cows', and 2s 6d to 3* for calf skins tallow, lis «d the I cwt; sheep skins, from Is 5d to -Si fed each ; Merino | wool, M the lb. At Pokeno, on Monday, there was but a small muster of cattle ; prices were moderate. At Drnrv, on Wednesday, a small muster of stock took place. Ordinary store cattle were without alteration in valued, but dairy cattle were belter worth. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were in better demand, and advanced in price lOs each- Store cattle, in fall numbers, were slow of sale, but all quitted at folly late values. Fat calves in unusual number, about ISO yarded, were lower in value. Fat cattle In full numbers, but generally light weights sold better than last week, about 10* each. Prices ranged from 13s to los the l«Jlb. Sheep were also better worth about 6d each. A draft of wethers from the East Coast averaged 12s. Horse-feed, grain, seeds : There has been no noteworthy change in the market, but some lines of oaten chaff have changed hands at very low rates. Horses: There has been increased activity in the market, and over an average number have changed hands at fully the previous week's values. There was a good muster at the Durham Yards on Friday, and good competition throughout the sale; most of the lota were cleared, and there was a slight Improvement in prices, although value conthmd in favour of the purchaser, which was particularly Noticeable in useful young horses, which sold at price unremunerative to the breeder. We quote hacks at from £5 10s to £14; draughts from £8 to £14 103. Wool, hides, and skins: The quantity pitched at the Durham Yards on - Tuesday, was not large, but there was a brisk demand. We quote ox hides at from Id to 4jd per lb; cow, 2|d to 3Jd; calfskins, 4d to &d per lb; sheepskins, from ta to 3s Cd each. Cattle : The number brought forward has not been large, nor has the demand been brisk, and there was a downward tendency in ■ value. The Newmarket yards were but barely supplied on Tuesday, but an evident indisposition to purchase at the previous week's values was evinced, and prices for dairy stock were unaltered, bat fat beasts receded in value from 5s to 10s per head, and for a few in indifferent condition even a shade lower was given. Sheep : There was a limited number penned at Newmarket on Tuesday and the previous week's value was given. Lambs sold at 6s to 9s; wethers, from 9s to lis ed ; ewes from 8s to 10s. Pigs : An increased number were'yarded, and were keenly competed for; good porkers from 2|d to Bid per lb live weight; rough pigs relatively lower. Messrs. G. W.
