Ladies and Gentlemen, — An attempt has been made on two previous .occasions to lntroduco a Licensed Public House.in this District, but you showed by your united action that tho disturbing influence and annoyance of the drink traffic would not be tolerated here. The verdict you returned at the Election of the Licensing Committee lastinonth was so decisive that we feel confident your vote on Local Option will prevent a License being granted for the sale of intoxicants in your district fur another term of three years. You are particularly warned .against relying on the small number of votes polled.by the Publicans' Candidates at the election of Licensing Committee last month. We have reason to believe that tho strength of the Publicans' party is being held in reserve as a surprise for the Local Option Contest. Remember—lt is in your power to keep this District free from a Public II ousts. IIEM EMBER — This vote, if carried in the light direction, will settle the matter .for another three years. Remember— vote may turn the scale, do not rely on a false sense of security. - Whatever others may do you should record. your vote. ■ POLLING Day — Wednesday, .April 18, at tho Christians' Meeting House, New North Road, between the hours of 0 a.m. and tip m.
