CHILD SCALDED TO DEATH AT TAUPAKI.

Constable Foreman telegraphed yesterday to Inspector Broham that a child named Thomas Edward Newman, aged 13 months, fell into a saucepan of boiling water at Taupaki on Sunday. Only its arm was scalded, but it died while being brought to Helensville for medical treatment. An inquest was to have been held yesterday.
