THE BELLINGER.

Wellington", Tuesdav. —The repairs to the steamer Bellinger, which sustained considerable damage through going on a reef near Waitara three or four weeks ago, are nearly completed, and it is expected she will come off the patent slip to-morrow. Since she has been on the slip nine new plates and twentyeight new frames have been put into her, and her engines and boiler have t>een overhauled. Captain Leys, late of the Wallabi, is to have command, replacing Captain Benson. Mr." P. Anderson, who was mate of the St. Kilda, until she was laid up. is the chief officer, the former occupant of the position having resigned. The engineer who was on her when she struck has also left, and Mr. Griffiths, who was at one time in the Wallabi, is his successor. The Bellinger's charter has just expired, but the Federated Seamen's Union have secured her for another term.
