Messrs. Cummvngs, Bros., the contractors for additional buildings to Messrs. Whitney's cartridge factory, expect to finish the work during next wees, when the new plant will be put in working order at once. In future, Messrs. Whitney bava given up all idea of torpedo manufacture in New Zealand, a branch of the business largely carried on by the membere of thu firm ui England.
