ATTEMPTED MURDER.
ALARMING OCCURRENCE! , IN COURT. NARROW ESCAPE OF THE JUDGE. [PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Adelaide, April 6. Goodfellow, the well-known athlete, who fired a revolver at his sweetheart, but fortunately missed her, was charged, with the offence at the Supreme Court to-day. The prisoner alleged as a reason for the act that the girl had jilted him. He was sentenced to seven years' hard labour. During the trial the revolver, which was produced in Court, accidentally exploded, the shot narrowly escaping the Judge.
